Stairs to Coastal Trail - El Camino del Mar

It’s a walk through shadowy cypress, scenic overlooks, unending pacific views and an unhindered view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

We will walk for about an hour from Lands End parking lot to the Legion of Honor; take a 45 minute lunch break at the Legion of Honor Café; then walk back to Cliff House (adjacent to the Lands End parking lot).

Date: Sunday, June 13, 2010
Time: 10am to 1pm (includes 45 minute lunch break at the Legion of Honor Café)
Start Point: Lands End parking lot at Merrie Way off Point Lobos Ave.

Note:

• Do carry water.
• There are just a few unstable cliff sides; keep a close eye on the children.
• Wear multiple layers of clothing (it may be windy) to make it easier to shed some (heat).

• From Market:
  • Catch #38 anywhere on Market Street between Embarcadero Centre and Geary Street to Geary and 48th, walk to Lands End parking lot
• From Union Square:
  • Catch #38 on Geary Street to Geary and 48th, walk to Lands End parking lot
• From Embarcadero:
  • Catch #1 on Sacramento and Davis Street to Geary and 33rd where you can transfer to the #18 or #38 to Geary and 48th, walk to Lands End parking lot
