Jon Huntsman, Jr., C'87, nominated by President Obama to serve as United States Ambassador to China

Did You Know… that Jon Huntsman, Jr., C’87, current Republican Governor of Utah was nominated by President Obama to serve as United States Ambassador to China? Huntsman has held several foreign policy posts throughout his career, including serving as US Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore; and has worked as a White House staff assistant to President Ronald Reagan. In addition to holding several business leadership positions in the Huntsman Company, he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Huntsman recently addressed Penn alumni on April 23, 2009, during the launching of the Penn Club of Utah.
